I'M BACK WITH MORE STAMPIN' UP FUN!!

Have you got your gift tags done yet for Christmas?  I love, love, love making gift tags!!  And Christmas tags are the best because Stampin' Up always designs the cutest stamps for tags -- the hard part is trying to make up my mind which stamps I want to use.  Actually, the tags I'm showing you today are 2 easy-peasy designs created for an event that I knew people where not really into stamping.  I kinda forced them, but then they just couldn't get over how easy it was, yet really cute for their packages.  I also have 5 tags I did at this month's RubberQueen meeting that Ronda Wade and Tamie Ackerson designed (now these are really cute!!!).

And finally, a tri-fold thank you pocket card I did today.  I haven't done a legal size card in ages, but another easy-peasy creation when you are mailing out revised Envelope Punch Board labels to your customers.  It was a perfect fit for what I wanted to send.  I am a little disappointed however because I wanted to do another new project today to post (something crazy and really different), but never got to it by the time I finished sending out thank-you and Project H.O.P.E. card's.  But I love doing that and life was good today!!!

So here they are:

My simple/no frills gift tags to use up all those designer paper scraps.  (I love the stamp on the right, wish I had it when my girls were small.)

RubberQueens' November monthly meeting make'n takes -- so cute!!

Some inking with the brayer, then a little sponging -- another fast card.  This layer was actually a reject because I smudged some ink on the sky that was on my pinky finger.  So that is why there are birds flying around (LOL).  Tri-fold card using 8 1/2" x 11" Soft Suede cardstock.

Inside of card showing pocket to hold revised measurement label for the Envelope Punch Board.  Great way to say thank-you to my awesome customers and get their revised label to them.

I am so excited because "tomorrow" is going to be "my" day to create something different!!  I hope it turns out decent so I can post it.

Until next time,

Sandi

TRY STAMPIN' ON TUESDAY CHALLENGE #9: SILHOUETTE SENTIMENTS

Good Morning America!!
Did you miss me???  Well, I missed hearing from all of you.  I guess the moral of the story is if you don't "feed" your viewers with some art than you shouldn't expect to hear anything.  Yah, yah I know that is how it works but it would be nice for somebody to just drop in and say, "Hey girl, I'm missing you so get off your duff and post something new."  To be honest with you that is exactly what I have been doing -- nothing!!  Well almost nothing, I started the week off by finally doing my taxes.  Oh my gosh, I about fell out of my chair at what I had to pay.  Nobody told me I would get taxed on my Social Security!!  Dah, I should have known that the government takes their 3rd out of "everything."  Stupid me, I thought that was all taken care of when I was working.  So not only did I get a whopping amount due, but had to pay a penalty and have to start making quarterlies (pretty sad when I have never had to pay in my entire life, and then it is after I retire).  Oh well, what can you do but move on and feel blessed that I didn't have to take out a loan -- LOL.

I also updated my Automated Excel Workshop Forms with all the new 2011 Summer Mini Catalog items and posted it on Splitcoast.  So if you want an updated version, go to Splitcoast or leave me a comment requesting a copy.  And I spent a little time doing some organizing in my studio -- a never-ending job for all of us, but something I love to do, as I find all these treasures that I forgot I owned.  All in all, it was a great relaxing week.  I knew I would need it, because the rest of the month will be busy, busy, busy.  I have tons of birthdays to celebrate (my girls, grandchildren, family), so lots of cards to make, shopping, and dinners to make.

And of course, I did my Try Stampin' On Tuesday inspiration card and a few birthday cards for family that I can't show you right now.  Here is what I came up with for inspiration using this week's sketch:

A little Braying and Sponging Technique with this one.  All Stampin' Up product used:  Silhouette Sentiments, Clearly For You, and Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Sets; Peach Parfait, Pear Pizazz, Baja Breeze, and Very Vanilla Cardstock; Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper; Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizazz, Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, and Soft Suede Classic Inks; Neutrals Brads; 1" Circle and Designer Label Large Punches; Square Lattice Textured Impression Big Shot Folder; Signo White Gel Pen; Brayer; Markers; and Sponges.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge Sketch #9
Okay, you know the drill:  get your stamps out and get your fingers' inky for an entry into this week's challenge.  Here is the link for CherylAnn's Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog with the details on submitting your entry.  Good Luck!!

Until next time,
Sandi

Another Brayer Card

Well, I'm finally getting around to updating my blog.  I really meant to do this last week, but time got away from me.  Plus, my computer is on its last leg so I am just babying it right now.  I did spend all day Saturday shopping for a new laptop and everything to go with it.  Now I have to get all my software installed so I can use it!!  It will take a while before I will have everything installed the way I want it.  Plus, I can finally install My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!!  I am also having my first Opportunity Night Friday evening to share all the exciting perks you receive as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator.  If you would like to join the group, please give me a call.  I have a really fun night planned with stamping, wine, and munchies.

I only have one card to show you tonight and a couple of pictures from my grandson's graduation last Sunday.

Below is my swap card I made for the June RubberQueen meeting.  The idea for this came from Michelle Zindorf.  I didn't have her stamp that she used, and it doesn't even come close to being as beautiful as her card, but I liked it anyway.  This card would have looked much better if I would have stamped a solid image, but we were to use something from the Summer Mini for our swap cards.  This was the best I could come up with that would fit with the background.  Apricot Appeal was brayered in the middle, Not Quite Navy on the sides, then Night of Navy on the sides but not covering all of the Not Quite Navy.  White gel pen for the stars, Going Gray sponged on bottom, Sahara Sand Marker for light pole shadow.  I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for the Mirror Technique.  Easy peasy card to do with the brayering.   I love, love, love Michelle's tutorials -- if you haven't checked out her blog, I have a link on my right side-bar under Favorites.

My Swap Card -- "When Life Was Simple"

Here is my grandson, Zachary, just before leaving for graduation from Okemos High School.  He was super nervous, but managed to give me one of his super smiles.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Sandi
