STAMPIN' UP PROJECT LIFE MEETS FAITH

Hello my crafty friends!!  No I didn’t take a vacation, I’m just enjoying life!!  I thought I would share something close to my heart today.  Many of you visiting today probably already know, and perhaps are doing, the inspiring Twenty-One Day Devotional Series, created by Ronda Wade and Julie Salva.  These ladies are not only Stampin’ Up demonstrators, but Christians who came together to share their love of crafting and serving God.  Julie is also a POWERFUL and well-known Christian Speaker who has a way of helping you see God’s word through practical Biblical teachings and brings me so much joy every time I listen to her or visit her blog (check it out, you will understand why I say this!!).  Ronda and Julie also have a Facebook group dedicated to Creating For Christ

Anyway, I am just a little over halfway through the 21 days of videos, but wanted to share my beautiful Project Life Album, using the Little Moments Project Life Kit (pages designed by Ronda).  Everybody knows how much I love to “scrapbook” so I truly am grateful that I can journal my Christian journey and other mementoes I have collected over the years depicting my faith to document my faith for generations to come.  Here are a few of my pages:

Ronda provided a video of how to put our book together, which I used for the "core" of the pages along with her pre-printed scripture verses and then I added my own details to make it "mine."  For a better view of this cover and inside pages below, be sure to use your mouse to right-click on the picture and select either "open in new tab" or "open in new window."

Yes, I also included some of my favorite Christian poems through the years.

So this is what I call a "memory keeper" vs. my traditional scrapbook pages -- but they both share my precious moments in life for future generations!!

Until next time,
Sandi

FALL IS IN THE AIR!!

I'm taking a break from posting projects I did at Creative Convention so I could show you some Fall cards before it starts snowing!!  First, I want to show you this great little video on Project Life.  I love, love that Stampin' Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins to bring you the authentic Project Life products, now in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors and designs. If you’ve somehow missed the Project Life craze and are wondering what it’s all about, we’ll fill you in: it’s a super simple, totally affordable way to get your photos into albums and a creative yet easy way to get your photos into albums.  You just slip your photos into Photo Pocket Pages and add designed cards. It’s a back-to-basics approach to documenting your life. In a nutshell, it’s all about spending more time making memories and less time scrapbooking them.  Watch the video to see how easy it is and write/call me if you have questions, need help, or would like to get together in a class setting to share the fun!!  To purchase Product Life by Stampin' Up! products, click here

Now let's take a look at what I made at the last RubberQueen's meeting.  All of the projects used Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, and Champagne Card Stock along with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die for the leaves, etc.; and strings pulled from the Burlap Ribbon:

Used the new Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit Die, on Page 11, of the Holiday Catalog.
Used the new Kraft Grid Journal.

Used Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

Used "Thumping Technique" on the Seasonally Scattered Stamp Set.

And last, but not least, here is a special card I made for a very special little girl in my life who was told she was cured from a life-threatening infection.  She went through 10 weeks of hospital trips and multiple tests, along with wearing a pic line to administer daily antibiotics:

PROJECT LIFE IS HERE (WITH PAPER PUMPKIN)!!

I have been having so much fun this week with my new Stampin’ Up Project Life products.  My first love, and the reason I joined Stampin’ Up, was to purchase the best, quality-product for my scrapbooking.  However, I still have hundreds of those pictures from trips, events, etc. that would take me forever to get in an album.  The solution:  Project Life!!!  With Project Life, I am able to get the pictures organized; protected; and most important, TELL MY STORY in a quick and simple manner!!  The most important (and I would say “sacred”) part of scrapbooking your life is your story that goes along with your life adventures.  My children, grandchildren, etc. are not going to open that album up if it does not tell my story of how I saw life at that moment.  Think about it, would you want to just sit and look at a pile of pictures without names, places, and thoughts?  Here is what Project Life offers:  It helps busy people (so basically all of us) document life using photos and journaling in a quick, simple, and fabulous way.

Stampin’ Up has partnered with Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, to offer a complete line of elite products.  Becky explains, “It's called Project LIFE because it's about YOUR LIFE.  Whatever your life is.  Whatever your stage of life.  Whatever your family circumstances.  Whatever your lifestyle.  Project Life is designed to help anyone and everyone get their pictures into a book.”  In a nutshell, it's all about spending more time making memories and less time scrapbooking them.  This simple scrapbooking solution appeals to non-crafters and crafters alike.  The product line centers on things that matter most -- weddings, babies, kids, and the everyday moments of getting together with your favorite people (all things that need to be remembered.)  The card collections come packaged in an exclusive storage system that holds all your Project Life supplies on your desk:  cards, journaling pens, photos, accessory packs, stamp sets, and more.  And best of all, everything coordinates with Stampin’ Up products you probably already own (card stock, ink pads, accessories, etc.).

Today I have 3 album pages that I put together very quickly to give you an idea of what Project Life has to offer.  I didn’t add any “bells and whistles,” just the basic Project Life product – so you could see how beautiful the pages turn out with just Project Life product.  You still have the ability to step-up your pages!!  Along with the stamps offered in the Project Life line, I used a couple of my favorite stamps from My Paper Pumpkin Kit on the pages.

*The "Wahoo" and "Notes" stamps are from My Paper Pumpkin Kits.

The Project Life items listed below (except the French stamp version) were used to finish these pages:
