MY FAVORITE DAY IS ALMOST OVER!!

Country Morning Level I Hostess Set

Ornament Punch and Build-A-Bear

Bet you didn't think you would see a post from me again for a while huh!  I even surprise myself because I have been posting on a pretty regular basis (for me anyway).  Actually, my fellow Design Divis won't let me get away with not posting every couple of days.  And because Thursday is my favorite day, I spent the day stamping!!  I need to get some samples done for my next card class, so started on these because they are both cased (somewhat).  Of course I always change things a little (don't all women do this -- just like using somebody's recipe, yah gotta make it your own).

The first card was cased from one of our very own Design Divis, Ponygirl40 (linked in my sidebar).  I thought this card was so awesome, and so much my style.  Looks a little antiquish don't you think.  Because I am very tired tonight and my show is coming on pretty soon, I'm not even going to put down the supplies used to make this.  I think it is pretty obvious just by looking at the card.  I will tell you the colors, as they never show up true in pictures.  I used So Saffron, Rose Red, Creamy Carmel, Bravo Burgandy, Close to Coco, and Ballet Blue.  I also used the Chocolate Chip marker.

My second card is just the cutest punch card I think I have ever seen.  I'm not patting myself on the back, because I got the Elf idea from about three other stampers.  Andrea Walford was the first person I saw doing this, but she just did the face.  I have also seen others use the Build A Bear dies.  Anyway, I used some of my ideas, along with other parts I like from other stampers.  I so, so love this.  But the bad part is that I don't think I can use it for my class, as it does take a while to put together.  I will have to think on it for a while, as I still have until next week.  Depends on what other cards I come up with.  Tammie -- eat your heart out!!  (Sorry, that was an insider joke that I couldn't resist.)  Everything again is pretty obvious in this card so won't list supplies.  I will say my ribbon scarf is discontinued.  If I would have had the die for the scarf I would have used instead of the ribbon for the class.  But the ribbon looks so awesome.  Oh, one more thing; the presents are die cuts from the Christmas Scrap Kit -- I was using up leftovers.

I hope you like them, and thanks for all the mojo from my stampin' buddies for making these cards possible.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

  1. Sandi,
I love the cards, especially the elf. I wanted to tell you that I love the quote at the bottom of your page. The one about the written note. I added it to my quote book.

  3. WOW is all I need to say!!!! Both are super GREAT. Love Love Love them. First the top one anything with roosters is a hit for me, got to case this one. The leaves look like they are real and just laid on the card. The bottom elf is so cute. Who would of thought to make an elf out of the bear cut and ornament punch but I can see how it would work. Great job going to have to give these a try when I get time.

  4. Great job, Sandi! It looks like you inked the 'raised' side of the Texturz folder -- is that so? I love the look! VERY antique. The rooster is perfect! Love the darling elf card, too.

I'm going to try my hand at the color embossing today - I can't wait. The elf card is SO stinkin' cute! Great touch with the scarf and the white gel pen. You really thought out of the box.
