SUO Bloggers Group 8 Challenge #2

Here I am again, waiting until the last day to post my challenge card. Actually, I have had this card done, but didn't know if I would post it or not as I wasn't real pleased with the turnout. However, since the deadline was today, I knew I better go with it or I wouldn't have anything!!

The challenge for our group was to do a card that showcases SU ink, a stamp set, and card stock.

Rules:
1. No designer paper. You can make your own with stamps though.
2. You can use punches and embossing folders if you like.
3. Keep it simple to show how anyone can make a beautiful card.
4. Keep the card creation process in under 15 minutes.

Well my card is super simple; no designer paper used, but did use embossing folder; and it takes less than 15 minutes.

Directions: Emboss the Nature Silhouettes tree image with Black Embossing Powder (because my panel was larger than the stamp, I had to over-stamp a little to enlarge the image). Used Big Shot embossing folder on the panel; brayed Creamy Carmel, Summer Sun, Really Rust, Ruby Red, and Brocade Blue ink over the panel (used torn sticky note to create blue water); and finally, used the Frightful Fence Jumbo Wheel wheeled with black ink cartridge. You can wipe off any ink that gets on the embossed image. Layered panel on Barely Banana card stock, then adhered to Ruby Red card base. There you have it -- an easy-peesy card.

I also wanted to share with you a picture of my deer that I have been watching every day from my studio. None of my pictures really turned out good when the fawns were first born -- but they are getting more used to me now.

Enjoy the day, and make sure you check out the rest of the group's submissions for the challenge.
