Well, I'm finally getting around to updating my blog. I really meant to do this last week, but time got away from me. Plus, my computer is on its last leg so I am just babying it right now. I did spend all day Saturday shopping for a new laptop and everything to go with it. Now I have to get all my software installed so I can use it!! It will take a while before I will have everything installed the way I want it. Plus, I can finally install My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!! I am also having my first Opportunity Night Friday evening to share all the exciting perks you receive as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. If you would like to join the group, please give me a call. I have a really fun night planned with stamping, wine, and munchies.
I only have one card to show you tonight and a couple of pictures from my grandson's graduation last Sunday.
Below is my swap card I made for the June RubberQueen meeting. The idea for this came from Michelle Zindorf. I didn't have her stamp that she used, and it doesn't even come close to being as beautiful as her card, but I liked it anyway. This card would have looked much better if I would have stamped a solid image, but we were to use something from the Summer Mini for our swap cards. This was the best I could come up with that would fit with the background. Apricot Appeal was brayered in the middle, Not Quite Navy on the sides, then Night of Navy on the sides but not covering all of the Not Quite Navy. White gel pen for the stars, Going Gray sponged on bottom, Sahara Sand Marker for light pole shadow. I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for the Mirror Technique. Easy peasy card to do with the brayering. I love, love, love Michelle's tutorials -- if you haven't checked out her blog, I have a link on my right side-bar under Favorites.

Here is my grandson, Zachary, just before leaving for graduation from Okemos High School. He was super nervous, but managed to give me one of his super smiles.

Like the card, how simple but different, have not seen anything like this before. Nice way to show off your increased talent this year, nice job.
ReplyDeleteBoy Zac sure does look a lot like Deborah. Well another one bites the dust. I bet this is going to be hard on Deborah. I know Mariah is now an official ninth grader and the next four years I am sure will go much too fast. Being a grandma is just as hard as a mom.
